JOB DESCRIPTION
The Graduate Internship Coordinator is an administrator with the primary task of supporting the goals and aims of the Ponessa Behavioral Health Internship Program, with guidance from the Internship Director. Intern program goals include:

Recruiting and retaining capable intern candidates.

Providing quality training and supervision for interns.
-
Helping transition interns into employees.
-
Managing the in-house licensing program.
-
Increasing revenue for the agency.
The Graduate Internship Coordinator/Licensing Coordinator role is a full-time, 40-hour per week position in support of these goals. The main administrative office is in Lancaster, PA with satellite offices in Lebanon, York, and Harrisburg. General requirements include regular communication with the Internship Director and other agency administrators. There must also be a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior. The Graduate Internship Coordinator will proactively contact interns to provide guidance, support, and supervision. Critically, the internship program is integrated with no divisions for social work and mental health interns. The program is founded on mutual trust and respect for all, by all. There is an overall focus on high standards, effective communication, genuineness, openness, honesty, transparency, diversity, and curiosity. The Graduate Internship Coordinator must be interdependent and self-motivated to maximize intern impact. Additional requirements include the ability to smoothly and effectively operate the In-House Licensing Program through knowledge of the State Board regulations. Applicants must have a master’s degree and an LSW or LCSW. (Applicants with an LSW must have at least 3 years of experience providing therapy.)
Specific job requirements (Graduate Internship Coordinator) include:

Attend regularly scheduled or ad hoc meetings with the Director and other administrators (individual meeting, internship meetings)

Recruit social work and mental health interns

Supervise and evaluate mental health and social work interns
-
Read and approve documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, discharges, letters, and transfers)

Attend, direct, and plan for group supervisions on two days a week

Be available for Crisis/ChildLine calls from interns.

Help prepare for audits

Communicate with program applicants and review application materials
-
Assist in the planning and development of the internship program

Occasional travel to other sites for meetings, chart reviews, and supervision

Assist with EHR troubleshooting and administrative duties as needed
Specific job requirements (Licensing Coordinator) include:

Learn Pennsylvania licensing requirements and be the in-house expert on LPC, LCSW, and LMFT licensure, along with BCBA certification. Be aware of licensing requirement changes and communicate them to administrators and licensees

Manage current licensee accounts and insure there is appropriate communication about status, time projections, costs, and repayment

Work with administrators to insure that licensees who leave repay supervision cost.

Supervise a limited number of licensees
CLEARANCES: (Prospective employee must have the following clearances before servicing clients.) 1. PA State Child Abuse Clearance (Upon hire, before working with clients, and every year thereafter) 2. Pennsylvania State Criminal Background Check (Upon hire, before working with clients, and every year thereafter) 3. FBI Clearance
